“American Pastoral” Exhibit Includes Photography by David Harlan

American Pastoral, a Landscape Show will run from  October 14 – November 11, 2012 at the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan, CT. Two black and white photographs by David Harlan were selected for the exhibition by Arianne Kolb, former curator at the J. Paul Getty Museum. “The Carriage Barn continues American art’s rich tradition in the genre of landscape, one that historically has included early American folk art paintings, grand expansive works introducing the public to the fantastic wild western frontier, the Boston impressionist school influenced by France, the WPA murals that introduced US citizens to rural and increasingly industrialized America, and late 20th and 21st century works depicting the United States and its vanishing wild places.” To view more of David’s work, visit his portfolio here.

An opening reception will be held on  Sunday, October 14th from 3 – 5 PM. Many of the works in American Pastorala Landscape Show are for sale. The Carriage Barn is located in Waveny Park, 681 South Avenue (Route 124), New Canaan, CT.
