David Harlan Featured in 8th Annual Design Philadelphia Festival

Four photographs by David Harlan will be exhibited as part of Design Philadelphia, an annual festival highlighting the historical and contemporary importance of the city’s vibrant design community. “In partnership with The University of the Arts, DesignPhiladelphia brings together individuals and organizations from across the design spectrum, building valuable community relationships. For the past seven years, DesignPhiladelphia has produced a nationally recognized, open participation Festival. Programming is a dynamic mix of open studios, exhibitions, lectures, runway shows, tours, workshops, and the like, that take place in boutiques, galleries, museums, universities, warehouses, and city streets.”

“Breaking Arts” Features Washburn Award for Extown Cottage

“Breaking Arts,” an online column sponsored by The Arts Council of Greater New Haven and the New Haven Independent, has released a feature article covering the Alice Washburn House Award given to David D. Harlan Architects for the design of Extown Cottage.

The New Haven Independent “features daily reports and diverse public discussion about news in New Haven neighborhoods, government, politics, criminal justice, schools, business, arts and culture… and is produced in conjunction with the Online Journalism Project, a not-for-profit effort to promote professional-quality ‘stand-alone’ and ‘hyperlocal’ news sites on the Internet.”

Feature Article in Connecticut Magazine

Congratulations to David D. Harlan Architects and A. Defne Veral Interiors for their award-winning work on the Cottage at Extown Farm (New Cannan, CT). The 2012 recipients of the Alice Washburn House Award for excellence in traditional house design, they are  featured in the July issue of Connecticut Magazine.
